Affect và Effect là 2 từ khiến người học, thậm chí người bản xứ, hay nhầm lẫn nhất. Sau đây LeeRit sẽ nêu tóm tắt điểm khác biệt quan trọng nhất của 2 từ này.

• affect (verb) = ảnh hưởng đến ai/điều gì: Does television affect children’s behaviour?
• effect (noun) = kết quả, ảnh hưởng: Does television have an effect on children’s behaviour?
• Ngoài ra effect (verb) thì ít dùng và khá formal, nghĩa là "đạt được hoặc tạo ra": They hope to effect a reconciliation.

1. Wars  affect  everybody, and their destructive  effects  last for generations.
2. My mood can affect  my thinking, too.
3. The early frost will affect the crops.
4. We may never know the full effect  of the radiation leak.
